Bangladesh’s World Cup journey began with a 2-0 set loss (15-7 and 15-5 points) against Chinese Taipei in the first Regu event match. The team made a remarkable comeback, winning the remaining group matches.
In the second match, Bangladesh defeated Saudi Arabia 2-1 (10-15, 15-10, and 15-3 points). They later defeated Pakistan 2-0 (15-12 and 15-8 points).
The rules of Sepak Takraw are similar to volleyball. The main difference is that in volleyball, players use their hands to push the ball into the opponent’s court to score points. In Sepak Takraw, players cannot use their hands; instead, they must use their feet and head to send the ball into the opponent’s court.
