Bangladesh forward Rituporna Chakma, who recently helped Bangladesh qualify for the Asian Cup final round, continues to impress in the Bhutan Women’s League. Playing for Paro FC, Rituporna has now won the Player of the Match award in two consecutive games.
On Wednesday evening, Paro FC faced Thimphu City and secured a 2-1 victory. After a goalless first half, Rituporna opened the scoring in the second half, followed by another goal from Sharun Fung, sealing the win.
Rituporna’s brilliant performance earned her the Player of the Match award once again.
Earlier, Rituporna won the Player of the Match award against Transport United FC.
With this latest win, Paro FC remain unbeaten at the top of the table, having won all nine matches to secure 27 points.
Paro FC featured four Bangladeshi players in the starting XI: Rituporna Chakma, forward Matsushima Sumaiya, striker Sabina Khatun, and midfielder Monika Chakma.
