At 10 am on November 13, China International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition 2020 (CIAME 2020), co-organized by China Agricultural Machinery Distribution Association (CAMDA), China Agricultural Mechanization Association (CAMA) and China Association of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers (CAAMM), was held at Qingdao Expo City International Exhibition Center with a grand opening ceremony. Under the influence of the epidemic, most internationally renowned agricultural machinery exhibitions have been suspended or postponed. CIAME 2020 has become the only large-scale and high-end agricultural machinery exhibition in the world this year.
CIAME 2020 has an exhibition area of 200,000 square meters, with 1,800 domestic and foreign exhibitors, including nearly 100 companies from the Italian, German and Korean pavilions. In the three-day exhibition, 120,000 professional visitors are expected. Exhibits in 80 categories cover the whole process of agricultural production machinery and equipment; 30 high-end conferences and activities involve animal husbandry, fruit, vegetable and tea, plant protection, intelligent agricultural machinery, social services, market analysis, international agricultural machinery trade summit, robot competition, annual awards, and live demonstrations, etc.
The organizer also creates an online edition of CIAME 2020, which allows visitors to be on the scene in the cyberspace. More than 200 media outlets interact with off-site audiences through the Internet, focusing on the leading companies in various fields by video, graphics, live broadcast and other new media means to show new products and technologies to end users.
Exhibitions Optimized
This year, the special area for fruit, vegetable and tea has achieved a development both in the proportion and in the number of exhibitors. Compared with previous years, the number of companies participating in the exhibition has increased by 14%. The exhibitors included not only the manufacturers of machinery for the fruit, vegetable and tea planting, cultivation and management, but also the front-end of the industrial chain, such as the machinery required for the construction of the garden, and the smart agricultural equipment that can improve the information level of the orchard. The extension the industrial chain and more complete product lines are a major feature of this special zone.
The animal husbandry section is another highlight of CIAME 2020. The organizer has upgraded the concept of animal husbandry to a series of exhibiting that combine planting and breeding together, focusing on the interpretation of the modern circular agricultural framework of integrated planting and husbandry. In the “Future Ranch” area, the domestic leading ranch complete sets with intelligent solutions are displayed. In the animal husbandry forum held during the exhibition, the organizer not only brings the most cutting-edge animal husbandry equipment and technology to the audience, but also specially invited more than 500 top experts, scholars and representatives of planting and husbandry companies to discuss topics of forage, dairy cows, beef cattle and mutton sheep. It is expected to promote the sustainable development of agriculture and husbandry.
In recent years, with the development of science and technology, China vigorously advocates the integration of water and fertilizer. The special zone for irrigation and drainage, with the theme of “High Standard Farmland Construction”, brings together companies that have been engaged in the production, research and development, engineering construction and sales of high-standard farmland construction and efficient water-saving irrigation products. Exhibits include drip irrigation, belts, pipes, hoses, reel sprinklers and large sprinklers, pumps, integrated water and fertilizer equipment, intelligent irrigation systems and IOT.
In order to meet the needs of participation for foreign visitors in CIAME 2020, China Agricultural Machinery Distribution Association launched the virtual 2020 China International Agricultural Machinery Trade Summit online to bring visitors an online trade exchange feast. On Nov. 14, 200 representatives from home and abroad jointly participated in the summit.
Colorful Exhibits
At CIAME 2020, Lovol Arbos not only brought many popular star products, but also 2 brand new high-end products, Lovol Arbos P7000 tractor and Lovol Gushen self-propelled green fodder harvester.
Zoomlion made a shocking appearance with 13 innovative works, covering artificial intelligence agricultural machinery, high-horsepower tractors, grain and cash crop harvesters, grain dryers, series of straw balers and other products, realizing the integration of agricultural machinery and agronomy, providing efficient and intelligent overall solutions for agricultural mechanization.
Kubota demonstrated the company’s strong lineup in agricultural mechanization in the form of 6 themes and 21 products. The themes includes rice planting, tractor and vegetable planting, grain processing, harvesting machinery, intelligent equipment and new products.
Yanmar released the new YH6118 six-row half-feed harvester to meet the needs of high-end users.
Deutz held a new product launch ceremony for its world premiere new 7W power shift series tractor.
Sino-Agri Group brought two packages and bundles this time “Artifact”. One is the 9YYZ-1250 round baler of domestically developed agricultural equipment, and the other is the MP2000-X round baler imported from Norway Orkel. It is an upgraded version in 2020, and the production efficiency has increased by 20%.
Thinker Agricultural Machinery brought a variety of new products such as harvesters, rotary tillers, cotton pickers, fish farms, fertilizer machines, etc.
People visiting the exhibition usually focus on the large machinery, but some other products and accessories booths are also exciting, such as MAXAM, which is famous for agricultural radial tires, brought the latest tire technology and tire solutions to the exhibition.
Qingzhou Julong’s exhibits are the water floating lotus harvesting boat, automatic harvesting boat, cleaning boat, water cleaning boat and other products. The company has a series of innovations in design, which are suitable for small and medium rivers, coastal waters, and lakes in southern China.
What Beijing Bochuang Liandong brings is a series of intelligent systems, including FARM STAR automatic driving system, tractor electro-hydraulic suspension control system, EM series intelligent display, etc., which reflect the trend of intelligent agricultural machinery.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Mao Hong, President of China Agricultural Machinery Distribution Association. Mr. Liu Xian, President of China Agricultural Mechanization Association, delivered a speech on behalf of the organizer. Mr. Ren Haoxiang, Vice President of China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, announced the opening of CIAME 2020.
It was also announced that the China Sugarcane Mechanization Expo hosted by the three associations will be held in Nanning on December 19 this year; the National Agricultural Machinery and Parts Exhibition will be held in Zhumadian on March 20, 2021; Xinjiang Agricultural Machinery Exhibition will be held in Urumqi on May 25, 2021.
