The diversification of global market opportunities for U.S. Soy has taken centre stage at the 2025 Soy Connext convention, organised by the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC).
More than 700 delegates from 59 countries are attending the flagship event in Washington, which brings together farmers, exporters, industry leaders and international buyers.
Ahead of the conference, trade teams from 34 nations visited farms and soy-related businesses across 17 U.S. states, including Iowa, Nebraska, and North Carolina.
“Soy Connext is not just about celebrating the strength of U.S. Soy,” said Jim Sutter, USSEC’s chief executive. “It’s about demonstrating our commitment to providing consistent, reliable and high-quality products that meet the needs of diverse international markets across every region of the world and building the strong relationships that help us achieve that goal.”

From Bangladesh, companies including Paragon, Pran, Nourish, Meghna Group and TK Group took part in the convention. They engaged in trade discussions with American soybean farmers, exporters and researchers to explore new opportunities in agriculture and feed industries.
U.S. Soy is the country’s top agricultural export, valued at $31.2 billion in the 2023–24 marketing year and shipped to more than 80 markets. Rising global demand for protein, oil and soybean meal is projected by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to increase by 4.3% in 2024–25, reaching 346.2 million tonnes.
“Global diversification is not a future ambition– it’s today’s reality,” Sutter added. “Our work through Soy Connext ensures international buyers understand the unique advantages of U.S. Soy and builds lasting partnerships worldwide.”
