Clashes between anti-discrimination protesters and Awami League leaders and activists in Rangpur have resulted in at least two deaths from gunshot wounds. Many others have been injured in the violent encounters.
These confrontations took place on Sunday morning (4 August).
The anti-discrimination student movement is staging a non-cooperation movement demanding the government’s resignation. Reports of attacks and clashes are coming in from the capital and across the country.
