After `hybrid’ and `kawa (crow)’, Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has come up with the theory of domestic and farm chickens.

“Domestic chickens are now cornered for farm chickens,” he said in an oblique reference to original and newcomer Awami Leaguers.

Addressing a rally marking the historic Mujibnagar Day at Mujibnagar in Meherpur Monday, Qader said that earlier he had talked about `kawa (crow)’ and now he wants to cite something else.

“I had mentioned about kawa earlier in Sylher. Now I’ll not mention the same. But, I would like to draw your attention to intrusion of farm chickens. We need local chickens, not farm ones. It’s not healthy also,” he told the meeting.

Asking the party leaders and activists to remain alert about the newcomers, the AL general secretary said: Remain cautious. Domestic chickens are being cornered, farm chickens are intruding.

He also asked the partymen to be vigilant about the `hybrids’ and said: Here the entire podium is flooded with leaders. The leaders are also in billboards. Our netree (party chief) is on a bid for digital Bangladesh, but these people are exhibiting themselves through billboards.

“We’ll not tolerate any evil move by anyone, we’ll not tolerate any misdeed in the name of Awami League,” he cautioned the billboard leaders.
