The Prime Minister said through the video conference, “The government is working with the goal that no one will remain homeless and everyone will have a better life.”

In the fifth phase, second stage of the Asrayan-2 project, she handed over houses to 18,566 homeless and landless families and declared 70 more upazilas free from landlessness and homelessness along with all upazilas in 26 districts.

She handed over 1,282 houses in Lalmonirhat, 261 in Cox’s Bazar, and 1,234 in Bhola. With these new districts and upazilas, the total number of landless and homeless-free districts in the country is now 58, and upazilas 464.

In Eidgaon upazila of Cox’s Bazar, 281 more people received houses in the second phase of the fifth stage of the Asrayan project. The Prime Minister handed over keys and documents virtually from Ganabhaban.
