BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has accused the current government of influencing the judiciary, stating that the ruling party’s main objective is to exile politics. “The government has no accountability and no commitment to the people,” Mirza Fakhrul remarked during an interview with journalists on Sunday, May 12.
He also mentioned that journalists are banned from entering the Bangladesh Bank due to corruption and irregularities. Additionally, he described the overall situation in the country as chaotic, labeling Bangladesh as a completely failed state.
Mirza Fakhrul criticized the government’s inability to ensure public welfare, health, and food security, noting that food is being imported from abroad, but the quality and safety of these imports need to be scrutinized properly.
During the interview, he also discussed the health condition of Khaleda Zia, mentioning that she is under medical care 24/7.
