A Dhaka court has granted a seven-day remand for former chief justice A.B.M. Khairul Haque in connection with a case filed over alleged verdict forgery.
The order was issued on Wednesday by the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court.
Earlier, police had sought a 10-day remand for Khairul Haque in the case filed at Shahbagh Police Station in the capital.
During the hearing, no lawyer was present to represent the former chief justice.
