Supporting the one-point demand called by the anti-discrimination student movement, protesters set fire to a traffic police box at Banglamotor intersection during the non-cooperation movement.
On Sunday afternoon (4 August), a group of protesters moved from Shahbagh towards Banglamotor. Along the way, they set fires at the Paribagh intersection and the road in front of the Intercontinental Hotel before reaching Banglamotor. They then set fire to the traffic police box in front of Ruppayan Tower.
At the time of writing, students have blocked the Banglamotor intersection. The police box is burning, and the students appear very agitated.
