The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has issued a press release addressing false and misleading propaganda against the Bangladesh Army being spread by various foreign media and social media platforms.
The press release, signed by ISPR Assistant Director Rashidul Alam Khan, was sent to the media today, Sunday.
It stated that from the early hours of July 20, the army had been deployed in their respective areas to ensure the overall security of public lives and key government installations amid the deteriorating security situation nationwide. The presence of the army, alongside other forces, has helped quickly mitigate chaos.
The release mentioned that certain vested interests are conducting false and misleading propaganda against the Bangladesh Army through various foreign media and social media platforms. The main objective appears to be tarnishing the army’s image both domestically and internationally.
The Bangladesh Army is working under constitutional and legal frameworks to control law and order, ensure the safety of the people, and restore peace to civilian life.
The ISPR urged the public not to be misled by such disinformation and affirmed that the army will always stand by the people and the state in any need.
