Chief Adviser of the interim government, Professor Muhammad Yunus, will deliver a televised address to the nation on Tuesday at 8:20pm on the occasion of July Uprising Day.
The announcement was made through a post on the Chief Adviser’s verified Facebook account shortly before 1pm.
According to the post, the address will be broadcast simultaneously on Bangladesh Television (BTV), BTV News, and Bangladesh Betar.
Earlier, at 5pm, Professor Muhammad Yunus will read out the “July Declaration” at the South Plaza of the National Parliament. BTV will air the event live, as confirmed by the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing.
The “July Declaration” is a formal document of the July 2024 mass uprising.
The interim government finalised it after consultations with the BNP and other political parties. All participating parties have agreed to grant it official and constitutional recognition.
