A review meeting of the Law and Order Committee on election preparations was held today (Monday) under the chairmanship of Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna.
According to the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing, the meeting focused on the readiness of law enforcement agencies and the administration ahead of the upcoming national election.
Emphasis was placed on increasing coordination among law enforcement agencies to ensure smooth conduct of the polls.
Sources from the discussion revealed that 150,000 police personnel will undergo training next month as part of election preparations. Additionally, 60,000 army personnel will be deployed as a striking force during the election period.
The meeting also discussed possible administrative reshuffles before the polls.
The session was attended by the Home Affairs Adviser and senior officials from various law enforcement agencies.
