The court has granted bail to Barrister Andaleeve Rahman Partho, Chairman of the Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) and former Member of Parliament, in the case of the attack on Banani’s Setu Bhaban.
After a hearing today, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Nurul Huda Chowdhury’s court issued this order. The defense lawyer, Ali Bashar, provided this information.
On July 25, the court granted five days of remand for Andaleeve Rahman Partho in the same case, followed by another three days on July 30. After the remand ended on August 2, the court ordered him to be sent to jail.
It was reported that the attack on Setu Bhaban occurred on July 18. In this incident, RabiuI Islam, the caretaker of Setu Bhaban, filed a case at Banani police station. The plaintiff mentioned in the FIR that Setu Bhaban incurred damages worth 300 crore taka. Later, on the night of July 24, Andaleeve Rahman Partho was arrested from his residence in Gulshan.
